Black Spot is an intergalactic love story. We have massive other-wordly melancholic chords intertwine with seductive chillhop beats. The highly regarded Estonian composer Galaktlan shows new side of himself with this EP showcasing his clever way of mixing pop elements into his previously well-known and finely tuned IDM craft. To compliment the release, we have a remix from one of the most interesting acts of the today's synthwave scene: Buspin Jieber. To complete the EP, we have a collaboration between Galaktlan and the enigmatic singer Mhyst. The results are a synthwave pop extravaganza, which transports the listeners back into the 80s. A cosmic synthpop delight.

Top quality IDM throughout. Damaged Cells, Glotc4, and Ronck67 are my favourites. I would love to know why the artists gave these tracks away - did they had imposter syndrome and think they weren't good enough for a 'proper' release? Are these old tracks and examples of 'juvenilia'? Are they experiments that the artist did for fun? So many theories but thanks anyway and a great cause to support. livewires22
